• Passionate about photography and producing consistently high-quality images
• Confident photographing fast-moving sporting action
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a larger photography team
• Friendly and professional when dealing with clubs, players, officials and families
• Physically fit and comfortable spending several hours on your feet, moving around sporting grounds and working outdoors
• Familiar with local sports such as AFL, cricket, baseball, netball and similar sports
• Able to understand the game and anticipate where the action is going to happen

EQUIPMENT & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

📷 Their own professional or high-quality camera equipment suitable for sports photography
💻 Their own computer and editing software
🖥️ The ability to select, edit and prepare images to a professional standard
☁️ The ability to upload and supply completed images through an online photography platform
📁 Good file management and the ability to meet required turnaround times

Experience photographing sport is highly regarded, however we’re also interested in hearing from photographers with strong technical skills who are keen to develop further in sports photography.

Weekend availability will be important, with some weekday and evening work also available depending on the sporting season.

This would suit photographers looking for regular freelance/casual photography work and the opportunity to work across a broad range of sporting events.

If you love sport, love photography and take pride in being someone a team can rely on, we’d love to hear from you.

📩 TO APPLY

Please send us:

• A brief introduction about yourself
• Details of the camera equipment you currently use
• Your general availability
• A link to your photography portfolio
• 10–15 examples of your best action photography preferably sport, so we can see your ability to capture fast-moving action, timing, focus and composition

• 10–15 examples of your best Studio photography (Team/Group photos and portraits)

If you don’t yet have a large sports portfolio but believe you have the technical skills required, we’re still happy to hear from you.
